From Shondaland and Creator Chris Van Dusen, Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market. Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled.

But as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown casts aspersions on Daphne. Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), committed bachelor and the catch of the season for the debutantes’ mamas. As a streaming service with more than 60 channels, the businesses and organizations have a prominent platform to showcase their work and gain awareness. The ad campaign is featured on Philo’s platform and inserted on channels like A&E, aspireTV, BET, CLEO TV, Food Network, HGTV, OWN, TV One and many more networks. The ad partners are inserted into the “local insertion” advertisement break. This ad break is traditionally used by cable networks and streaming services for their own ad sales placements, therefore, advertisement inclusion does not add extra commercial time for viewers. …

The Stareable Fest 2020 honored Katja Blichfeld, from HBO’s High Maintenance series, with its inaugural Creator Achievement Award at the third annual festival that celebrates web series and TV creators. Katja was presented the award on Thursday, October 15th at 6 p.m. She spoke at the totally virtual festival, offering brief remarks on her innovative career and how web series and digital creation have shaped her path. Following her remarks, Stareable Fest’s founder, Ajay Kishore hosted a fireside chat with Katja.

“We’re were so honored to be joined by such celebrated names for panel discussions that are sure to inspire,” said Ajay Kishore, founder of Stareable, the platform hosting Stareable Fest. “We look forward to seeing the exciting futures in store for the creators and being able to say ‘I saw them first at Stareable Fest.’” …

On October 7, 2020, YouTube announced a global slate of new and returning projects, dedicated to amplifying Black voices. The announced titles continue YouTube’s long-standing commitment to celebrate a broad and diverse set of perspectives on its platform. This includes new projects that have come directly out of the recently announced $100M #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund, including a documentary series from Patrisse Cullors, co-founder of Black Lives Matter, and a HBCU Homecoming (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) livestream special.

“YouTube is committed to spotlighting community-driven storytelling and the important issues that people of color and other marginalized communities face everyday,” said Susanne Daniels, Global Head of Original Content for YouTube Originals. …

Enslaved is a six-episode docuseries that explores 400 years of human trafficking from Africa to the New World by following the efforts of Diving with a Purpose, as they search for and locate six slave ships that went down with their human cargo. Executive produced and featuring award-winning actor Samuel L. Jackson, the series tracks the efforts of divers as they utilize new methods of underwater archaeology to identify and locate these sunken slave ships for the first time in history.

These modern day adventures serve as a springboard to tell the stories of the ideology, economics and politics of slavery, while also celebrating stories of resistance, the cultures left behind and the culture that we live in. …
