The 26th annual New York African Film Festival opened May 23, 2019 and runs until June 9, 2017. Most of the events are held at Lincoln Center.

Writer-director Julius Amedume’s Rattlesnakes and producer Jimmy Jean-Louis introduced the psychological neo-noir thriller based on Graham Farrow’s acclaimed stage play. Actor Jimmy-Jean Louis is known for staring roles in TV shows like Claws and Heroes.

The story Rattlesnakes follows an intense day in the life of family man and yoga instructor Robert McQueen played by Jimmy Jean-Louis, who is ambushed by three masked strangers accusing him of sleeping with their wives. He pleads his innocence, though what he does reveal will change all of their lives forever. But will it be enough to save his? Just watch and see and this story will take you on a ride that is unexpected and thrilling.
