The Stareable Fest 2020 honored Katja Blichfeld, from HBO’s High Maintenance series, with its inaugural Creator Achievement Award at the third annual festival that celebrates web series and TV creators. Katja was presented the award on Thursday, October 15th at 6 p.m. She spoke at the totally virtual festival, offering brief remarks on her innovative career and how web series and digital creation have shaped her path. Following her remarks, Stareable Fest’s founder, Ajay Kishore hosted a fireside chat with Katja.

“We’re were so honored to be joined by such celebrated names for panel discussions that are sure to inspire,” said Ajay Kishore, founder of Stareable, the platform hosting Stareable Fest. “We look forward to seeing the exciting futures in store for the creators and being able to say ‘I saw them first at Stareable Fest.’”

The annual Pitch Competition took place Saturday, October 17th at 6 p.m., where finalists had the chance to pitch LIVE for 90 seconds a piece to a panel of industry judges. During the competition judges provided instant feedback, allowing creators and audiences to learn from the experience. Finally, the Stareable Fest 2020 Award Ceremony will take place Sunday, October 18th at 6 p.m., when the best in web series and indie TV will be crowned.

The Festival for the first time took a virtual approach to programming, enabling even more opportunities for talented creators to meet and engage with top industry executives. The year the extended festival took place online between October 14–18.
