Each June in Miami, the American Black Film Festival is held. It is am amazing event which brings together filmmakers, producers, actors and industry insiders for 4 amazing days. Each day is filled with screenings, panels, conversations, masterclasses, parties, and many other spontaneous events.

This year, I happened to stay at The Betsy Hotel in South Beach. I was familiar with the hotel since the festival always holds a few events there each year. In fact, I was aware that the hotel was considered a luxury boutique hotel, but so much was reveal upon actually lodging there.

Upon arriving to the hotel and checking in as I walked to my room, I had the pleasure of seeing all of perfectly curated artwork which gave the hallways a unique flavor. There was obvious evidence of an artist and writers voice overflowing within the hotel.

As I arrived to my room, I immediately was impressed with the ambiance of the room and that it really is a beachfront gem honored by Travel + Leisure as ‘World’s Best’.

The Betsy truly does anchor the quiet end of iconic Ocean Drive — and has one of the most exciting neighborhoods in America as its backyard.

Lastly, I found the food, especially the breakfast delightful and delicious. Each dish is created and crafted with such care.

The hotel is great for families as well as individual guests and I absolutely plan to stay again.

Thank you Betsy Hotel and GMCVB. It was a pleasure to meet you at stay as a guest.
