Northwestern Mutual Hosts “Community Conversations” Event to
Deepen their Commitment To Closing The Racial Wealth Gap
on Saturday, February 11 in Harlem, NYC. The event was attended by small business owners, entrepreneurs and other leaders in the business community.
The brunch began with cocktails, and a panel discussion about the racial wealth gap, and what we can do together to help close it — like building generational wealth and steps we can collectively take as a community.
The panel featured Harlem’s own award-winning chef, restaurateur, and co-owner of Red Rooster Harlem, Marcus Samuelsson. The “Community Conversations” was held specifically at Ginny’s Supper Club located within the Red Rooster restaurant. The space that pays homage to the classic Harlem speakeasy and the legendary music of the neighborhood.
According to Samuelsson, “As an important member of our community, we want your voice to be heard.”
In addition to Samuelsson, panel guests included an introduction from Ron Adam as MC and Vice President of Distribution Performance, Northwestern Mutual. Darryl Roberts who is CEO/Founder, Bridging Structural Holes Inc held the position as moderator.
