Prudential Financial and Urban One’s New Documentary on Black Financial Wellness Premiered at the 2019 American Black Film Festival
One Solution, the leading branded content division of Urban One, and Prudential Financial, Inc., collaborate with One X, the full-service creative studio agency of One Solution, to present “Legacy Lives On,” a riveting film created to spark conversation about one’s own journey to wealth and financial wellness, and leaving legacies of generational wealth.
The 45-minute film dissects the economic challenges of Blacks in America, historical and current, through the lens of three women who demonstrate diversity in how black millennial culture is redefining conversations about economic empowerment.
The documentary premiered at The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) on June 15, 2019 before broadcasting nationally on TV One and Cleo TV, beginning on June 19, 2019.
The highly anticipated screening of “Legacy Lives On” was held at Regal Cinema Theater 18, with key documentary spokespeople from the documentary in attendance, including:

·Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche
·Political strategist Mike Muse
·dfree Founder and CEO Dr. Deforest B. Soaries
·Prudential Financials’ Individual Life Insurance President, Salene Hitchcock-Gear Amidst
“Legacy Lives On” showcases relatable stories of Black millennials discovering their path toward financial wellness for themselves, their families and communities against the backdrop of history and culture. The ABFF screening was followed by a talkback panel discussion moderated by Salene Hitchcock-Gear Amidst and included the talent featured in the film: Laz Alonso, Tiffany Aliche, Mike Muse and Dr. Deforest B. Soaries. Each of them got an opportunity to go in depth regarding what legacy means to them and ways people can begin taking steps to achieving legacy for themselves.
In addition to this ABFF screening, another was held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, New Jersey an exclusive Prudential screening of the One X original film, “Legacy Lives On” Premiered.
This film is sure to start and continue a much needed conversation about financial wellness.
