The 7th Annual American Black Film Festival Comedy Wings Competition

To tickle your funny, the ABFF COMEDY WINGS COMPETITION, presented by HBO, is always a hit. Comedians Faced Off for the Top Spot in Miami on Friday, June 14th. Each finalist then went toe-to-toe in a comedy battle.

To be a part of the competition, the finalists received an all-expense paid trip and (2) festival passes to the 23rd American Black Film Festival from June 12–16, 2019 for a chance to win a $5,000 cash prize and attend an informational meeting with HBO talent executives.

This year’s five finalists were emerging comics from across the United States, with diverse styles and sensibilities. The 2019 ABFF Comedy Wings finalists were: Allan Cunningham, Brian Tucker, Kevin D. White, Reginald Thomas, and Tyana Davis.

The event was hosted by Deon Cole, five aspiring comedians fought for the title of ‘winner’ at the highly popular night of hilarity at its best in front of a sold-out audience and Baltimore native Ty Davis took home the top prize.
