The Superhero “Shazam” Opens in Theaters on April 5, 2019
DC Comics gives us another peak into one of their superheroes and his name is Shazam.
In the case of 14-year-old Billy Batson discovers he is one of the few who has a superhero inside of him and on Friday, April 5, Shazam! premieres in theaters nationwide, and audiences will discover a new type of superhero.
Most comic book fans may know, that the name “Shazam” is an acronym of the ancient gods and historical figures Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. Shazam stars Asher Angel, Zachary Levy and Mark Strong.
The story begins when a streetwise 14-year-old foster kid meets an ancient wizard and turns into the adult Super Hero Shazam.
He’s just a boy, but now he’s a boy with a ripped, godlike body and amazing superpowers — powers that he has no idea what to do with. And he will need every one of those powers to battle the evil Dr. Sivana.
The movie is a great lesson that shows that heroes can come in all shapes and sizes.
The film opens in theaters on April 5, 2019.
